Marjorie Rodd founded Spine & Sport Institute in 1996 and has continued to actively treat patients while running her clinic. Marjorie is a Physical Therapist who uses the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy in her evaluation and treatment of patients. She is also a woman’s health practitioner with advanced training in the treatment of incontinence and pelvic pain.

Laurel graduated from IRC as a Physical Therapy assistant and has worked at The Spine & Sport Institute since gaining experience treating a wide array of patients. She comes to therapy with many years experience as both a personal trainer and a licensed massage therapist.

Mark Denny, PTA

Mark brings extensive outpatient and inpatient experience to the clinic with over 20 years of experience as a PTA working in South Florida. When he isn’t helping patients out Mark can usually be found fishing the local salt and freshwater areas.

Dean Scheurer, PTA, LMT

As a graduate of the Space Coast Massage Institute in 1994 and a 2000 graduate of the Physical Therapy Assistant program at IRCC, Dean C. Scheurer Jr. has 20 years experience in the massage and body work field. Whether working with professional athletes in the sports massage arena, employing his skills as a medical/orthopedic therapist to assist doctors and physical therapists manage and resolve patients various pain issues or helping his private clients relax, Dean has helped thousands of people deal with a wide variety of ailments. He is a member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association and on the FSMTA Sports Massage team.

Tammy manages the clinic, assists with patients and runs the AlterG and Balance programs. Despite all of this she is always ready with a smile for clients and members making everyone feel right at home.

Judy Cornell, CPT

Born & raised in Toronto Canada, Judy Cornell a.k.a. Aisha, came to Florida in 1995.  With a Bachelors degree in Theatre & a passion for Belly Dance, she has worked as a dancer in both Theatre & Belly Dance venues.  Her first American job was here in Vero Beach playing an Indian in Riverside Theatre’s production of Peter Pan.  Little did she know that Riverside Theatre would also introduce her to the love of her life – Allen Cornell, Producing Artistic Director.  Since then she has appeared in multiple productions around the world in a variety of roles.

Judy has recently added another skill to her resume by working at the The Spine & Sport Institute as an ISSA certified personal trainer.  As a dancer, she understands how important physical activity & strength is to an individual’s quality of life & as an entertainer, she understands that a boring workout can be made much less tedious with some funny Belly Dance or Theatre stories.

Keeping the patient scheduling and paperwork flowing smoothly is a full-time job. Susan makes it look easy and enjoyable as well. From answering phone to scheduling to making sure paperwork gets done she wears many hats in her position at Spine & Sport Institute.
